hey loves! can you believe that i attended my first new york fashion week? i’ve been blogging since march 2011, and it was definitely a dream come true. hop over to youtube to see a full recap of what we got up to in the big apple! in the meantime, here’s what i wore each day.
Friday
we arrived on friday, and after missing our train (what’s new????), finally got settled into our hotel around 3 pm. we stayed at modern haus, a boutique hotel in soho.
i immediately hit the streets to grab these gucci tights and then came back to the hotel to get dressed for dinner with the amazing tenicka (@tenickab) and jenee (@highlowluxxe). their style is impeccable, and they both showered me with so much advice and love. it’s the genuine sisterhood for me!

Saturday
we attended the tiffany brown show on saturday, and i decided to give a casual, but chic look. the weather was delightful! i wore my jacquemus dress with a cashmere turtleneck underneath and didn’t need a coat. i’d actually planned to also wear the bottega dot boots, but they didn’t arrive in time. no love lost because the bottega stretch mules that i already owned were the perfect fit, especially with the warm weather.

after the tiffany brown show, i went shopping at some bomb shops that we don’t have back home. farm rio, what goes around comes around and sandro were three places that literally brought me joy. i changed my outfit into something much more comfortable to hit the streets and pick up my new prada bag!

saturday night, we had a delicious dinner at stk in the meatpacking district with jenee and monroe (@monroesteele). needless to say, monroe’s bomb AF. her style, humor and personality — tens across the board!
i felt like a bad “b” in this black blazer and sheer dries van noten pants. this look shut the internet down, and at that point, my work at NYFW was done.

Sunday

before heading out we enjoyed brunch and cocktails at our hotel’s restaurant called veranda. they make a mean bloody mary and flatbread pizza. i wore my new prada crop top with the agolde angled jeans. a pro tip is to get the jeans altered to fit perfectly at your waist.
