welp. fall is here.
and i’m not pleased about the change in season. my homegirls tried to cheer me up with excitement over shifting our wardrobes, but i wasn’t having it. as a florida native, i’m happiest when i can wear flip flops year round.
the good news is my moodiness about the changing weather was cured (momentarily) when i took my favorite vintage jumpsuit out for a spin.

sometimes the best pieces in our wardrobe come from our favorite people. two years ago, my homie earl of earl’s closet hosted a vintage popup shop called the cool dc. i was drawn to this jumpsuit, but almost left it on the rack because it didn’t look like my size. thank goodness for friends because they encouraged me to try it on, and bloop! it fit like a charm. now i have at least one thing to be happy about in cooler temperatures.
a major key for styling a fall wardrobe is layering. i grabbed this denim jacket from the ann taylor loft outlet in palm springs, and it’s the perfect transition piece. i plan to keep my jumpsuit in rotation when the temperature drops with boots and a long-sleeved top underneath.
how do you stay fly during fall? any tips for transitioning your wardrobe?
