chimamanda adichie won a national book critics circle award for her latest novel americanah last friday. the story of a nigerian woman blogging about her experiences with race in america was one of my favorite novels of 2013 and cemented my belief that chimamanda is a literary genius.
so what do you have when a literary genius meets up with the woman whose skin makes shea butter jump for joy? lupita nyong’o starring in the film adaptation of americanah! in an interview with arise entertainment 360, the author hinted at the collaboration while revealing lupita was an early fan of the novel. if this is really happening…lawd jesus…take me now…
