mother’s day: more than fluff

when i was younger, i would color the people on greeting cards brown. before hallmark marketed culturally diverse cards, a little brown girl had to take matters into her own hands. today, i can walk into most big box stores and find cards that reflect my racial heritage; however,  it’s much harder to find greeting cards that match my value system.  here’s where strong families deserves a round of applause.  their “mama’s day, our way ” e-cards are a diverse display of race, culture, gender, and religion with social justice themes.
