so this week i was asked to photograph for essence magazine for their september black hair issue. i met an amazing collection of black women and made wonderful connections. some of the women who shared this experience with me were carolyn malachi, grammy nominated singer and songwriter. she made this all happen! she’s a gorgeous woman with a beautiful spirit. also, the multi-talented keanna faircloth, a wpfw radio show host and dj here in dc! lady gaga’s harpest, rashida jolley was radiant and so enlightening! and so many other gifted and beautiful women! these women were inspiring to say the very least. i give thanks for such a positive experience. the shoot was great! we were all smiles the entire time. let’s keep our fingers crossed that we grace the pages of essence magazine in september!
