so i’m walking down u street and see this sista with a bad blond afro. i say “excuse me, can i take a picture of you for my blog?” she agrees and after taking the picture says “my band is having an album listening party tonight. are you familiar with les nubians?” at this point i morphed into an exaggerated version of my clumsy-slightly-awkward-corny-joke making self. not a good look.

lol i was there! they're beautiful women. obviously proud of their heritage and very personable.
