picture it: you can’t wait for the weekend. there’s a dope museum exhibit happening, a free concert in the park and a friend’s birthday party. you haven’t quite decided how you’ll slide through all three, but you’re excited to decompress from a long work week.

yet, you’re still sitting on the couch at 5 pm on sunday scrolling through instagram. yes, that was shade.

our brains operate on autopilot. they prefer routines and the path of least resistance. since sitting on the couch eating pizza and scrolling through social media is easy (and doesn’t require real clothes), we tend to get stuck in this type of unfulfilling habit.

studies show the best way to form a new habit is by planning. that means if you wanna start brushing your teeth every night before going to bed, set an alarm. if you wanna start eating healthier, spend some time during the weekend meal planning and preparing food.

in order to truly make time for joy, we have to prioritize it through planning. spending just a few minutes each day making real action steps that center well-being can transform our lives.

i’ve created a 21 day happiness project toolkit that’s perfect for planning. download it here and jump into a three-week plan for greater joy.
