california love wasn’t just a hit song by late rapper tupac shakur. issa real thing, and the colony palms hotel in palm springs is the perfect spot to catch the vibe.
our recent visit to palm springs for the altitude summit was a literal dream. it’s one of the biggest influencer conferences in the country, and i learned alot about building an online brand. shout out to all the creative women who came together to unleash their magic.

however, the best part of our trip was the hotel. colony palms hotel was our home away from home, and the property is so beautiful until it was hard to leave.

- the vibe is amazing. somethings just can’t be described in words. the vibe at the colony palms hotel is one of those things. the palm trees, flowers, pool, hot tub and spanish style buildings make it feel like paradise.

2. the pool is an entire movie. listen, i’m not sure if movies have been shot at the colony palms pool, but they should. imagine white lawn chairs surrounding a pristine pool with mountain views in the background. do yourself a favor and grab a few signature drinks from the hotel’s restaurant, the purple palm, and spend at least one day luxuriating by the pool.
3. the spa makes magic happen. i was delighted when the kind folks at the colony palms offered me a deep tissue massage. after a very long trip from the east coast, it was just what i needed. jackie was my masseuse, and i HIGHLY recommend her services. the best part is you don’t have to be staying at the hotel to book a treatment.
4. the purple palm restaurant is delicious. fun fact — we met rosario dawson at the hotel’s purple palm restaurant during our first visit. she was so full of joy until i wondered, “did we land in narnia?” nope, but the restaurant does feel like a desert oasis. after two trips to palm springs, i can confidently say it’s my favorite spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner AND a cocktail or two or three.

5. you’ve never taken a bath like this before. i literally screamed when i saw the outdoor tub in our casita. not only was the room absolutely amazing (check out the full tour here), but the tub is unparalled. everyone who knows me, knows that i love a good bath. watching the sunset from the bathtub was everything.
overall, we had an amazing stay in palm springs, and the colony palms hotel is a super special place. if you’re in the area, especially during festival season, i can’t recommend it enough.
